Chik-Wauk Nature Center Presentation - Bryan Hansel

Sunday August 16, 2020 02:00pm-03:00pm
Chik-Wauk Nature Center

The Dark Skies of the Boundary Waters Region

The Boundary Waters region boasts some of the darkest night skies in the world. On the Bortle scale, a scale that rates the darkness of the night skies with 1 being the darkest and 9 the brightest, the BWCAW is mainly a 2, but it even contains a 1. During the presentation, you will see night images from the region, including Milky Way shots, start trails and northern lights.
You will learn how to make night images of your own.

Bryan is an award-winning professional landscape photographer and outdoor educator. He has over 25 years of photography experience. His programs take students to the best and often unknown locations in the northland and across the nation.

All presentations are family friendly and free to the public.

The presentation will be held inside Chik-Wauk Nature Center.

Donations are appreciated.

Bryan Hansel
